Springtime often brings to mind images of birds chirping, flowers springing blooming, and plenty of sunshine. For some, Spring also bring forward the idea of biking. An initiative known as 30 Days of Biking brings forth daily bike rides for the entire month of April.
So how does it work?
Go to www.30daysofbiking.com and make a pledge to ride your bicycle every single day in April.
You can participate on any bike and go any distance. A ride around the block or to work counts just like 100 miles or across the nation. We just want you out there adventuring and then sharing your journeys with our community. – 30 Days of Biking
Those who pledge are encouraged to share their daily journey via Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter with the hashtag #30DaysOfBiking. People who do so instantly become part of the international community of over 4,500 members, spanning from the United States of America to Russia.
Additionally, the cause is raising funds with World Bicycle Relief, bringing bicycles to a school in Zambia. “We will help provide over 100 robust bicycles, train a mechanic, and implement programming to help provide a brighter future for these students. “
